Quotes of Note

I look forward to the time when I will be sailing or taking the ferry to Nantucket and being able to see the towers up close and admire their grandeur and know that the people of Cape Cod are benefiting from some clean power and that we are leaders in the effort to help our neighbors and our country make the US a cleaner, healthier and a better place to live.

-- Peter Sutherland, Yarmouth resident

State House Rally

Prevailing Winds in Denmark
*

The town of Blavand is the closest point of land to the Horns Rev offshore wind farm.  When the project was first proposed some of the residents voiced concern over their tourism based economy.  In fact, residents of Blavand make over ninety percent of their income from tourism.  On their trip in January, members of Clean Power Now and other residents of the Cape and islands spoke with locals and visitors about the concerns regarding the wind project before it was built and the real experience afterwards.  Watch what these local and vacationing Danes have to say about the offshore wind farm.
