Healey encounters pro-Cape Wind residents

(CBS4) HYANNIS It's one of the most controversial political issues in Massachusetts. And Thursday, the Republican nominee for governor waded into the battle over a wind-energy farm proposed off the south coast of Cape Cod.

Several dozen pro-wind farm activists heckled and chanted at Lt. Gov. Healey as she underlined her opposition to the huge wind-energy farm a developer wants to build in Nantucket Sound. It's a sign of how explosive this issue could prove to be down the stretch of the 2006 campaign.

Demonstrators chanted, "What do we want? Clean power! When do we want it? Right now!"

Healey ran a pro-wind-farm gauntlet as she arrived at Sea Street Beach in Hyannis.
