Selectmen rebuke Alliance

While the Chatham Board of Selectmen has gone on record as opposing the Cape Wind project, it voted 3-2 to deny a request from the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound to send a letter to the Minerals Management Service. The letter would have asked the service to extend the project's public comment period, which ends today, July 14.

"I think it's time to make a decision," Selectmen Chairman David Whitcomb said of the need for the permitting process for the project to go forward and be either rejected or approved.
